Reusable Floss?

Our family is nearly pshychotic about flossing. Rockstar actually went to a WEBSITE and ordered his favorite floss when it wasn’t in the store anymore. (they were a little floored he wasn’t calling from a dentist’s office) If we run out of flossers after TEOTWAWKI he’ll be more distraught than if we noticed our water was tainted.

When I had an opportunity to review the BrytonPick, I was really hopeful I’d found a solution. While it wasn’t the sacred flossers we’ve grown to love, I wanted it to be something we could stick in the food storage for emergencies.

It’s pretty durable, but I have to be honest, I was a little nervous about jamming the metal blade between my teeth. Once I steeled my nerves and jammed it in there it works pretty effectively. It takes a minute to get over the feeling you’re chewing on aluminum foil, and I don’t think I’d be able to use them every day – – but I think they’re a fabulous addition to a food storage inventory for the long term. It wouldn’t take very many of them to keep your entire family’s teeth healthy and flossed.

…and seriously, with how much jerky I have in my food storage, floss is about as mandatory as water :)

What is your must have toiletry for your food storage? Is it different for every member of your family?
