High Winds and Power Outages!
We’ve had some insane weather here in Utah – basically Category 2 Hurricane strength. At this point, I think power has been completely restored, but the damage is in the millions. Temperatures dipped into the low 30s while the power company worked to restore power, so lots of friends and neighbors spent some cold dark nights across the Wasatch Front.
Next week I’ll do a post on the installation of our back-up generator that runs our house. Considering the alternative, it was well worth the expense, and Utah winters don’t show any sign of taking it easy on us.
How about you? Were you affected by the high winds across the West? What backup heat and power sources do you rely on?
